Official Rules

Version 1.0 · Updated July 2026 · No purchase necessary

No purchase necessary. No purchase or payment of any kind is ever required to enter a room or receive a product. You can earn coins for free — through the daily spin, play, and challenges — and use them to enter Coins rooms, a free method of entry with the same opportunity to receive the product. During the current free beta, every room — including paid rooms — is free to enter and no payment is taken at all.

Sponsor

BidBloom is operated and sponsored by Koma Lab Inc, a Delaware corporation (the "Sponsor"). Koma Lab Inc is the sole sponsor of all BidBloom rooms, contests, and reward programs. The Sponsor's mailing address is available on request at support@bidbloomapp.com.

Apple is not a sponsor

Apple Inc. is not a sponsor, organizer, endorser, or participant in any BidBloom auction, contest, sweepstakes, or reward program. Apple is not responsible for product fulfillment, payment processing, prize delivery, or outcomes.

Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older and a legal resident of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia to participate. Void where prohibited or restricted by state or local law. Employees of Koma Lab Inc and their immediate families are not eligible.

How a room works

Participants pay a fixed participation (entry) fee and choose a strategic price for the featured product. Once the room fills, the displayed price decrements automatically by a fixed amount per second. A participant may claim the product at the current displayed price (a manual claim consumes one Shield Point); other participants may counter the claim within a timed window (countering consumes one Shield Point and restarts the decrement). When a claim survives its counter window uncountered, the claiming participant purchases the product at the locked price.

Reading the other players

Every player rides the timeline as a card. A tag above it — and the way it sits — tells you what they're doing. Learn to read them at a glance.

In the running

A calm card with their photo, bid, and shield dots. They're still in — waiting for the price to fall to them.

NEXT
$640
marlowe

Next in line

A NEXT tag marks the player the falling price reaches first — their auto-stop is the closest one below the current price.

CLAIM

Claiming

They stopped the clock. The card lifts inside a gold viewfinder frame with a CLAIM tag while the counter window runs. If nobody counters before it closes, they take the product.

COUNTERED
$640
marlowe

Knocked off

Someone countered. The light leaves the card — it dims to a COUNTERED tag and drops back into the lineup, and the price starts falling again.

marlowe

Out of shields (exposed)

Greyed out with every shield dot empty — this player is at 0 SP. They can still claim, but can no longer counter. Dangerous, not eliminated.

AFK
$640
marlowe

Away (AFK)

An AFK tag and a dimmed card mean they've stepped away. They still auto-claim at their bid — being offline doesn't take them out.

Shields (SP)

The dots under every card are Shield Points. Everyone starts with 3. Gold means ready, grey means spent. Countering costs one. At zero you're exposed.

3 → 2 → 1 → 0. The same player, shields draining. On the last card every dot is grey and the whole card dims — that's exposed.

Your move

The bar at the bottom of the room is yours. Its word and color change with what you can do right now — slide it to act.

CLAIM· 1 SP
SLIDE TO CLAIM

Claim

When the price is live, slide to claim it at the current price. The COST tag shows what the slide costs — a manual claim is 1 shield.

COUNTER· 1 SP⏱ 4s
SLIDE TO COUNTER

Counter

When someone else has claimed, the bar turns red — slide to cancel their claim and restart the drop. Costs 1 shield. The little clock shows the seconds left, ramping green → amber → red.

CLAIM· 15s cooldown
SLIDE TO CLAIM

Exposed — no shields

At 0 SP the bar goes amber. You can still claim — no shield to pay — but the COST tag shows the real price: get knocked off and you're locked out 15 seconds, +5s more each time.

CLAIM
KNOCKED OFF · BACK IN 15s

Knocked off — cooling down

Get knocked off a naked claim and the bar itself tells you why it's locked and when it's back. It counts down, then unlocks itself — even mid-window.

COUNTER-CLAIM· 15s cooldown⏱ 4s
SLIDE TO COUNTER-CLAIM

The $0 finals

If the price hits $0, even players with no shields can seize a claim — the amber COUNTER-CLAIM. No shield to pay, but each knock-off stacks the cooldown shown on the COST tag.

When it reaches $0

Hitting $0 doesn't break the show — it's the climax.

1

FINAL STAGE

A 3 · 2 · 1 curtain drops the instant the price floors at $0 — the decrement stops and everyone syncs up.

2

FINAL CALL

A 5-second last-call window opens — tap claim to take it at $0. Survivors chain counters until someone misses their reaction window — that claim locks it.

Skill, not chance

BidBloom is a skill-based competition. The outcome of every room is determined by participant skill — strategic Shield-Point management, decision timing, counter selection, and strategic reasoning. No element of random selection is used to determine the purchasing participant. The mechanic is the subject of a pending United States patent application. The daily spin reward is a separate, no-purchase-necessary promotional mechanic with disclosed odds; it does not affect or determine the outcome of any auction room.

How your score works

After every room, each player earns a performance score shown on the post-room leaderboard. You earn 10 points for every counter you make, 2 points for each claim you fight for (up to 5), and 20 points for reaching the final showdown at $0. The participant who takes the product also receives a +65 bonus plus up to +15 points for how cheaply they claimed — a $0 finish earns the maximum savings bonus. Because that bonus is larger than any other participant can reach, the product-taker is always ranked first; everyone else is ranked by how actively they played. If two players tie on score, the tie is broken by counters, then claims, then the lower bid, then who joined first.

No-loss outcome

Every participant receives value. The participant who locks the claim purchases the product at the locked price. Non-claiming participants receive in-app coins usable in Coins rooms, or may purchase the same product at a discount equal to their participation fee. No participant loses their participation fee without receiving corresponding value — a fundamental commercial guarantee of the BidBloom mechanic.

Prizes

The prize in each room is the featured product, awarded to the participant who locks the surviving claim. The approximate retail value (ARV) of each prize is the product's full retail price, displayed on every room before you enter. Because outcomes are determined by skill rather than a random draw, the chance of receiving any product depends on the number of participants and their decisions; no fixed probability is stated. During the free beta, prizes are simulated and not shipped.

Coins and discount tickets

Coins and discount tickets earned in BidBloom have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable once awarded. Coins cannot be purchased with real money. Coins are earned via play, the daily spin reward, and as consolation rewards. Discount tickets expire 24 hours after being awarded if not used.

Daily spin reward

The daily spin is a free, no-purchase-necessary reward. Each segment's odds are disclosed in the "View Odds" sheet before each spin. Approximate odds are shown for transparency; actual outcomes are determined server-side using cryptographic randomness. Participation in the daily spin is not required to use BidBloom.

Refunds and cancellations

BidBloom is currently in a free beta phase. Room entries are free to join and no real-money payments are taken, so there is nothing to refund. When the paid version launches, room cancellations will fully refund participation fees to the original payment method. Products purchased through BidBloom may be returned within 30 days of delivery in their original condition. Defective products may be returned at our cost; preference returns may incur shipping costs.

Geographic restriction

BidBloom is offered only to residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia. We may identify your country and state from your IP address, billing address, or shipping address, and reserve the right to restrict or refuse access where required by law. You are responsible for complying with the laws of your jurisdiction; access from outside the eligible area is at your own risk. When physical prizes ship at paid launch, they ship only within the United States.

Fair play and conduct

Bots, automation, exploits, multiple accounts, collusion, offensive usernames, and harassment are prohibited and may result in voided outcomes, forfeited coins, suspension, or a permanent ban. The full conduct rules are set out on our Support & Community Guidelines page.
