Participation and entry conditions
A payment may be required to enter certain auctions in the form of an entry fee. However, no other payment, purchase, or financial contribution of any kind is required to participate or to win.
Users may obtain entry into designated “Coins Auctions” by using virtual coins. Coins can be acquired at no cost through in-app activities, including but not limited to daily rewards (such as the daily spin), gameplay participation, and completion of challenges. This free method of entry provides participants with the same opportunity to win as any paid method.
During the current free beta period, all auctions are free to enter. This includes auctions that may be designated as “paid” outside of the beta environment. No payments are requested, processed, or collected from users under any circumstances during this period.
At no time is a purchase required to enter an auction, increase your chances of winning, or receive a prize.

Apple is not a sponsor
Apple Inc. is not a sponsor, organizer, endorser, or participant in any BidBloom auction, contest, sweepstakes, or reward program. Apple is not responsible for product fulfillment, payment processing, prize delivery, or outcomes.
Eligibility
You must be 18 years of age or older and a legal resident of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia to participate. Void where prohibited or restricted by state or local law. Employees of Koma Labs, Inc. and their immediate families are not eligible.
How an auction works
Participants may need to pay a fixed participation (entry) fee to join certain auctions. There are no separate bid payments. Once an auction is full, it starts automatically, and the displayed price decreases at a fixed rate per second until a claim is secured.
At any time during the auction, a participant can claim the product at the current displayed price. Each claim uses one Shield Point. Other participants may counter that claim within a set time window. A counter also uses one Shield Point, cancels the claim, and resumes the price decrease from that point.
If a claim is not countered within the time window, the claiming participant secures the product at the locked price.
New here? See How it worksEvery auction starts at the product’s full retail price. As the price drops each second, any bidder can claim the product at any moment. Other bidders then have a few seconds to counter the claim and resume the drop. If no one interrupts in time, the claim holds and that bidder gets the product at the locked price.
Shield Points are what bidders spend to make a move. Everyone starts with 3, and each claim or counter uses 1.
Claim
Slide to claim the product as the price drops. A claim costs 1 SP. If no one counters before the timer ends, you win at the locked price.
Counter
When another bidder claims, the bar turns red. This is your chance to counter. You have 10 seconds to act. Slide to cancel their claim, and the price continues dropping from where it stopped.
Counter-claim
At $0, claiming and countering merge into one move. A single slide takes the active claim from the previous bidder, even with 0 SP.
Each bidder appears in the auction room as a card. The label and visual state of the card show their current status in the auction.
Active
A card showing the bidder’s username, avatar, and Shield Points (SP). They are still active and can claim or counter.
Claiming
A highlighted card shows the bidder has made a claim. Their claimed price appears on the card with a CLAIM tag.
Knocked off
A card with a COUNTERED tag shows that another bidder has countered the claim. The claim is canceled, and the price starts decreasing again.
Frozen
If a bidder is countered while having no Shield Points left, they enter a temporary cooldown and their card appears frozen. They cannot take any action during this time.
Away (AFK)
An AFK tag and a dimmed card mean the bidder is inactive and not currently participating.
If the price reaches $0 without a winner, the auction moves to the Final Stage.
Only bidders with remaining Shield Points make it to this stage.
Each claim takes the active claim from the previous bidder.
After each claim, other bidders have a 4-second window to counter-claim.
If a window passes with no counter-claim, that bidder wins at $0.
Zero SP
A card with all three dots empty shows a bidder with no Shield Points left. They can still claim but can no longer counter. If that claim is countered, they enter a cooldown starting at 15 seconds and increasing by 5 seconds each time. While it runs, their slider is locked and shows the time remaining.
Skill, not chance
BidBloom is a skill-based competition. The outcome of every auction is determined by participant skill — strategic Shield-Point management, decision timing, counter selection, and strategic reasoning. No element of random selection is used to determine the purchasing participant. The mechanic is the subject of a pending United States patent application. The daily spin reward is a separate, no-purchase-necessary promotional mechanic with disclosed odds; it does not affect or determine the outcome of any auction.
How your score works
After every auction, each bidder earns a performance score shown on the post-auction leaderboard. You earn 10 points for every counter you make, 2 points for each claim you fight for (up to 5), and 20 points for reaching the final showdown at $0. The participant who takes the product also receives a +65 bonus plus up to +15 points for how cheaply they claimed — a $0 finish earns the maximum savings bonus. Because that bonus is larger than any other participant can reach, the product-taker is always ranked first; everyone else is ranked by how actively they played. If two bidders tie on score, the tie is broken by counters, then claims, then the lower bid, then who joined first.
No-loss outcome
Every participant receives value. The participant who locks the claim purchases the product at the locked price. Non-claiming participants receive in-app coins usable in Coins auctions, or may purchase the same product at a discount equal to their participation fee. No participant loses their participation fee without receiving corresponding value — a fundamental commercial guarantee of the BidBloom mechanic.
Prizes
The prize in each auction is the featured product, awarded to the participant who locks the surviving claim. The approximate retail value (ARV) of each prize is the product's full retail price, displayed on every auction before you enter. Because outcomes are determined by skill rather than a random draw, the chance of receiving any product depends on the number of participants and their decisions; no fixed probability is stated. During the free beta, prizes are simulated and not shipped.
Coins and discount tickets
Coins and discount tickets earned in BidBloom have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable once awarded. Coins cannot be purchased with real money. Coins are earned via play, the daily spin reward, and as consolation rewards. Discount tickets expire 24 hours after being awarded if not used.
Daily spin reward
The daily spin is a free, no-purchase-necessary reward. Each segment's odds are disclosed in the "View Odds" sheet before each spin. Approximate odds are shown for transparency; actual outcomes are determined server-side using cryptographic randomness. Participation in the daily spin is not required to use BidBloom.
Refunds and cancellations
BidBloom is currently in a free beta phase. Auction entries are free to join and no real-money payments are taken, so there is nothing to refund. When the paid version launches, auction cancellations will fully refund participation fees to the original payment method. Products purchased through BidBloom may be returned within 30 days of delivery in their original condition. Defective products may be returned at our cost; preference returns may incur shipping costs.
Geographic restriction
BidBloom is offered only to residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia. We may identify your country and state from your IP address, billing address, or shipping address, and reserve the right to restrict or refuse access where required by law. You are responsible for complying with the laws of your jurisdiction; access from outside the eligible area is at your own risk. When physical prizes ship at paid launch, they ship only within the United States.
Fair play and conduct
Bots, automation, exploits, multiple accounts, collusion, offensive usernames, and harassment are prohibited and may result in voided outcomes, forfeited coins, suspension, or a permanent ban. The full conduct rules are set out on our Support & Community Guidelines page.

Recipients are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes on prizes received. Koma Labs, Inc. may be required to issue IRS Form 1099 or other tax documentation for prizes whose fair market value meets or exceeds applicable reporting thresholds, and recipients may be required to complete tax forms before a prize is delivered.
