The Play
How It Works
Shop. Play. Save.
A falling price · one entry fee · value back for everyone
Real products, priced like a game show. Three moves and one of them could be yours for a fraction of retail.
- The price falls. Every product starts at full retail and ticks down automatically, second by second. It never stops on its own.
- Claim it. Tap to lock in the price the instant you want it. Claiming costs 1 SP (a Shield Point; you start with 3).
- Survive the counter. Everyone else gets ten seconds to counter and restart the drop, and countering costs them 1 SP too. If nobody spends it, the product is yours at that price. Reading your Shield Points against theirs is the hard part.
You're in the free beta. Auctions are free to join and your XP and coins are real. Products aren't shipped yet, so you're getting the full experience while we get the warehouse ready.
Inside an auction
A few things set a BidBloom auction apart from a normal one.
It starts at full price
No reserve and no minimum. The clock starts the moment the auction fills, and the price only moves one way.
One entry fee
Everyone pays the same fixed fee to join. It's your buy-in, and there is no separate bid: you never pick a price up front, and nothing ever claims on your behalf. (Free during the beta.)
Shield Points (SP)
Everyone starts with 3. Shield Points are the only thing that let you counter, so once they run out you can still claim but you can no longer block anyone. Spend your last point now, or hold it for a cheaper claim later.
Claim anytime
Tap to lock in the live price the moment you want it. Every claim costs 1 SP.
The counter window
Every claim pauses the auction and opens a ten-second window. Anyone holding at least 1 SP can counter. That spends their point, cancels the claim, and restarts the drop from the price it stopped at.
Running on empty
At 0 SP you are exposed. Claiming still costs you nothing, but you can no longer counter anyone. Offense only.
Getting the product
When a claim survives its counter window untouched, it locks. That bidder buys the product at the locked price, often a fraction of retail.
The $0 finals
If the price ever reaches $0, the auction goes to a last-call finals. Get there with Shield Points still in reserve and you earn an XP bonus. And yes, someone can walk away with the product for $0.
When the auction ends
Everyone leaves with something. Every time.
The product is yours
You get it at the price you locked. (During the beta this part is simulated, so nothing ships yet.)
Someone else claims it
You get consolation coins to play more auctions, plus a limited-time option to buy the same product at a discount equal to your entry fee. Your buy-in is never wasted, and every auction you play earns XP either way.
Coins are real
Earn them by playing auctions, spinning daily, and finishing challenges. Spend them on Coins auctions or to buy a product outright. You can never buy coins with real money. One beta heads-up: balances reset to zero when BidBloom launches for real, so enjoy them while you're testing.
Rewards & perks
Daily spin
One free spin a day for coins and discount tickets. Finish challenges to earn extra spins. The odds are shown before you spin.
Discount tickets
Knock money off an entry fee. Use them fast, because they expire 24 hours after they land in your wallet.
Daily challenges
Stake a claim, fire a counter, spin the wheel. Finishing challenges banks you more coins. Auction challenges only count in paid auctions, not Coins auctions.
XP & levels
Every auction you play earns XP. Levels bring status and perks, and both carry straight into the paid app when it launches.
Shipping
No gimmicks. Nothing up our sleeve. During the free beta, products are not shipped. You're getting the full experience while we finalize fulfillment. When BidBloom launches for real, everything you take home ships anywhere in the United States. No hidden handling fees, ever.
